Ambassador (R) Ghalib Iqbal is a career diplomat who has served as Pakistan’s Ambassador to France. He is a former naval officer and an engineering graduate who entered the Foreign Service in 1983. He has been posted in Ottawa, Stockholm, Rome and Toronto. At the headquarters, he mostly served as Director at the offices of Foreign Secretary and Foreign Minister and later as Chief of Protocol. He has also served as the Special Secretary at the Foreign Office.
