President Ashraf Ghani in a telephonic conversation with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon discussed the bilateral ties, Afghan peace process as well as the regional cooperation. Tajik President expressed his complete support on the Afghan led and Afghan owned peace process as well as the regional connectivity. Both leaders also expressed their desire to strengthen economic ties and further the border cooperation. President Rahmon also invited President Ghani to attend the 20th Anniversary of SCO which is scheduled to be held in Tajikistan in March 2021. Afghanistan and Tajikistan have strong economic ties since the fall of Taliban. Meanwhile President Ghani also spoke with Kassym-Jomart K. Tokayev President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The two leaders held a detailed conversation on promoting bilateral ties, regional cooperation as well as the Afghan peace process. The two leaders also expressed their willingness to resolve the issues of Afghan students in Kazakhstan.
