Afghan Foreign Minister Calls for Solidarity with Palestine - Pak Afghan Youth Forum PAYF

The Foreign Minister of Afghanistan called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to consolidate solidarity on the question of Palestine.

FM Haneef Atmar also identified the need for effective mechanisms to bring an end to the oppression. He said the United Nations, European Union, Arab League, and others should work together for an end to the violence.

According to health officials at least 153 civilians have been killed in the past week. Many nations have called for the UN to take notice of the indistinct and inhumane killing of civilians.

In his address, Atmar said that Palestinians continue to experience violence and bloodshed on their own land. He said, “The bloodshed and misery have continued in part due to the lack of pursuing a political solution, broadly supported by the Muslim World and the International Community”.

Haneef Atmar also listed the violations that the Israeli forces have made, by attacking Worshippers at the Al Aqsa Mosque. There have also been violent crackdowns on peaceful protesters in Palestine. He said these acts were violent, unjustified, and a threat to peace and stability in the world.
